Where are you from?
How did you start playing music?
I started playing guitar around 12 years old after my dad and brothers taught me some chords, and was inspired by Taylor Swift. I grew up singing and playing in church and began singing more seriously in my high school choir and local coffee houses and talent shows.
Who are your inspirations?
Some of my biggest inspirations are Kelsea Ballerini, Maren Morris, Eric Church and Tenille Townes.
What has the journey been like to get to this point as a Country artist?
The journey to get to this point as a country artist has been a long road of having to not listen to self doubt but have faith and passion to keep pursuing my dreams. I spent a lot of years keeping music to myself and being shy, after recording my first album a few years ago I felt inspired to keep working harder and chasing my dreams! If I can do what I love and relate and connect with other people through music then it’s all worth it!
Chevy Music is dedicated to enabling emerging artists in Canada, what does this mean to you as an artist?
The fact that Chevy Music is dedicated to supporting emerging artists means so much! Many of us do it for the art of music and are trying to learn and grind in the business side of things, so for Chevy Music to create space and opportunities for artists to grow and provide exposure is so encouraging to see. It means so much to me personally and I know will help so many other emerging artists!
